We had a great time yesterday in the KGB in Freiburg. Thanks to Descend to Rise and Everwaiting Serenade for the invitation as well as everybody who came to see us! It was real good to see so many familiar faces in the crowd after such a long time. Also big thanks go out to the guys of the KGB who made a really wild aftershow party. :)

Finally some good news: Mark of metalcore destroyers Lysis has joined us as session-guitarist. So from this very moment on we're ready to play live again!
Please also note the show in december with Descend to Rise in this context.

Today we've got some very sad news: After five years of full passion, Ben has decided to leave World to Ashes. The growing demands of his job don't allow him to commit to his music as he'd like to anymore. This is what he himself has to say about the situation:
Hi everybody,
I want to inform you that I am leaving World to Ashes. This is a real hard decision for me and I am really sad while thinking about all the great times I had with the band. But the final examination of my job doesn't allow me to continue my part in the band for the next months. And when I start after that with my working life it's not garanteed that I would have the time again for the band. So the best way is to leave World to Ashes after five wonderful years, so that the guys can continue with full power.
I want to thank Achim, Christoph, Lorenz and Sascha for everything, all the bands I shared the stage with and everybody who helped me and World to Ashes in the last years!

Altough the decision of Ben is not easy for us to take, we fully accept his commitment to his job. Ben was a founding member of World to Ashes and everybody who's seem us live once, surely knows how much energy he's put into the band. We wish him all the best for his future and hope everything works out fine for him.
So that's the situation right now. This means that we're in desperate search for a new guitarist, so that we can continue as usual. If you'd like to join us, please drop us a note.

Yesterday evening we had a great time celebrating the release of our new Album "In contemplation of death". We wanna say a big "Thank you!" to everybody who came to the show yesterday as well as Friedhelm for mixing and of course the other bands for playing and helping out!

We're happy to announce that Inner Sanctum will replace Dimorph at our release show this friday. Dimorph unfortunately had to cancel the show due to an injury on the hand of their drummer.

Since yesterday you can preorder our new CD "In contemplation of death" in the Online-Shop of our Label Whirlwind Records. Whirlwind has prepared a special deal for all people who preorder the CD, so visit their shop and check out their offer.
Some bad news: Due to an injury of the drummer, Dimorph can not play at our release-show. Right now we're looking for a replacement. We'll let you know more as soon as possible.

Here some infos about the Record Release Show for our first and brandnew Album "In contemplation of death": The show is taking place in the Waldsee in Freibug. This location is situated next to a small lake and also has a relaxed beer garden for after-show activities. :)
Besides us we'll have three more great bands playing:
The concert will take place on Friday 19.06.2009, start at about 19:30 and will cost 6 EUR. We'd be happy to see lots of you guys moshing down the pit to the ground together with us on this very special night!

We're happy to announce that we've finally found a location for our record release show which will take place in June! So mark the date in your calendars and be prepared for a first class metal event because there'll be some more great bands playing (more soon).

So finally everything's recorded and the material is in the mix right now. We also saw a first impression of the CD cover already, so now things slowly are beginning to take shape. We're really very excited about the CD so we'll let you know more as soon as we know.

We wish everybody a happy new year! Right now we're in the Studio to record our new album which will presumably be released in spring 2009. Drums are already recorded and now we're doing the guitars. We're really excited about how it will turn out and hope to present you the ultimate metal album of the year 2009. ;-)

We just came back from the Brainstorm festival in Holland, which was nice indeed. Thanks to Roy and Kim for the invitation (big thanks also go out to the guys from Seventh Angel who helped us out with their guitar-strap)!
Now we're really looking forward to our last show this year. Hope to see many of you in Denzlingen this Saturday!

Yesterday we had a car crash on our way to Rodalben. Fortunately there were no serious injuries so we came away with a shock. Of course we had to cancel the show in Rodalben, what we are really darn sorry about. But we heard the show was killer anyways, so it's cool to see that all the people had a good time after all. So again, we're very sorry that we couldn't come. This surely would've been a great show, but I think we'll come back to Rodalben soon, just to mosh it to the ground even more! Thanks to Kurdder for inviting and organizing. See you the next time!

Hey everybody! Just wanted to let you know that we're really diving into songwriting for the upcoming album. Of course we're both, tensed and excited, how it will turn out. The studio is booked for some weeks in january, so there's not so much time left. Right now we're getting in contact with some guys concerning artwork and stuff, so let's see how it's gonna be. (note the rhyme...)
In the meantime we'll also play some shows, so make sure to catch us live somewhere.

First of all: Yes, we (or better: our provider) had some administrative problems with the website that was down for ca. 10 days, but fortunately now it's up and running again.
Now a little update on what's going on with World to Ashes before the big summerbreak: We're heavily preparing for the recordings of our debut-album, so there (unfortunately) will not be so many shows this year, because we really wanna concentrate on writing new songs for the album and for the expansion of our live-set. But we'll not completely barricade ourselves in our rehearsal-room, there'll still be some few shows this year. So if there's one near your place, make sure to catch us for a mosh. See you!

Just yesterday we moved to our new rehearsal-room in Waldkirch-Kollnau. We worked the whole day to turn the naked concrete-room into a nice (almost) living-room-like jam-room. It's so cool and now our songs will be at least twice better (now imagine that!;-).
Nevertheless a very big thanks goes out to Inner Strength, who shared their rehearsal-room with us, when we lost our. Thanks guys for making it possible that we could continue on!

We're proud to announce that Fear Dark has invited us again to play at their Fear Dark Festivals in Holland! Other bands besides us will be Slechtvalk, Thy Majestie and Exhale. So if you're in the area make sure to grab one of the three shows on that weekend!

Again some bad news! We had to cancel the show in Neuenburg because Lorenz has an infection on his second arm... Well, that's real bad luck! But thanks to the Neuenburg guys for their flexibility! Hope we can catch that up soon.

Some bad news for this year: Our first show had to be cancelled because Lorenz' injury isn't in the condition of playing a show. We're very sorry for the people who wanted to see us in Bietigheim. Hopefully we can play in your area soon! The good news is that Lorenz' injury is curing unexpectedly well, so very likely we'll be active live again very soon!

Hey everybody, we had a great show in Rodalben two weeks ago! Thanks to Kurder, Misanthropic, Dead Sky's Opera and of course all the people who rocked the pit!
For the next two months we'll have a small winterbreak, which does not mean we're going to hibernate! Lorenz will be having the surgery on his shoulder in December and Christoph will also have a little surprise. Currently we're working a t-shirt, which will be available soon. So stay tuned.

First we're happy to announce that the shows with Misanthropic in November will take place! Lorenz will have a surgery in the near future, but until then, he's able to play "light" shows. So you've got to overtake the moshparts for him!
Second is, that there was a review of our E.P. "Of what there is to come" in this month's issue of Legacy, Germany's finest metal-mag. You can check it out here.

Hi, sadly we have to cancel the show in Emmendingen coming saturday. Our guitarist Lorenz had an injury on his shoulder, so we can't play the show on october 13th! It would be nice, if you could go to the gig anyway to support the other Bands Inner Sanctum and Till the End. Take care.

Hey everybody! It's been a quite a while since the last update. Currently we're writing new songs and are looking forward to see as many as you at the next shows.
Make sure to catch us in November when we're doing some shows with Misanthropic! They are cool people and we're excited playing with them. If you could organize a show somehow for one of the two weekends in November, please get in touch with us! Originally we wanted to fill the whole weekend with shows, but that turned out to be a little hard with the clubs and everything. So if you've got a band and want to play a show with two bone-grinding live-proven bands :), please get in contact with us.

Our CD-Release show the last weekend was real fun! Thanks to all the people who came out and celebrated that night with us! Thanks to Descend to Rise, Sacrificium and Knowhere for coming and just moshing it down real tight!
We just wanted to let you know that our EP "Of what there is to come" is scheduled for the 07.07.2007 (come on, how cool's that now?!) at Whirlwind Records, but you can preorder it in their shop already.
I just listened to our E.P. the first time and I'm just blown away with what has come out after this long time working on this CD. It's just amazing how many people helped us and what great work they all did. Thanks everybody!

Oh yeah! We just came back from the Beer-Dark Festivals! It was such a great time with funny and cool people, great music and far to less sleep. We wanna thank Fear Dark again for inviting us and making all this possible as well as Christian, who was our driver on the tour. Allright, now we'll sleep for the next two weeks and let our necks relax a little bit... ;-)
We'll put up some photos of the Fear Dark Festivals in the next time so make sure to check back once in a while.

Very much is happening at the moment. We've finally found a bassist with Sascha who already played the show in Niedereschach with us. So this is a very important step for us. He's also ready to play the FearDark-Festivals next weekend, so be sure to come to one near you and meet us there.
We also updated the website a little bit and added some nice live-pictures.

The lineup for our CD-Release-Party has just been completed and now consists of Sacrificium (Deathmetal from Stuttgart), Knowhere (Atmospheric Blackmetal from Switzerland) and Descend to Rise (local Metalcore heroes with an emotional touch). The new year is beginning great for us! We're in the process of signing a contract with a label which will bring out our E.P. "Of what there is to come" in spring / early summer. We've posted one new song "Standing in flames", which didn't make it on the E.P., on our MySpace account. We hope you'll enjoy it!

Bad news: The soundcard of our recording-computer has died, so the recordings will be on ice for the next days. But fortunately Rock'n'Roland from The Crimson Divine will help us out, so we'll be able to continue soon. Thanks Roland! You are Hero of the Month!
